Honest food, done the traditional way
Kaara Saaram is a family-friendly South Indian restaurant in Al Nad, Hay Al Qasimiah — just behind Nesto Hypermarket at Kuwaiti Bulb. Our kitchen cooks Tamil-style: crisp dosas, flaky parotta, fragrant biryani and bold pepper dishes that guests say taste like home.
We keep portions generous and prices reasonable, with clean, comfortable seating that fits big family groups — ten people at one table is no problem. And if you can't decide, just ask: our staff love recommending the dish that suits you.

Open from first chai to last biryani
6:30 AM
Doors open. Chai is poured, the tawa heats up, the first dosas go out.
Lunch
Biryani time. Families and workers from around Al Nad fill the tables.
Evening
Parotta with beef fry, nalli pepper and butter chicken — the night shift begins.
Midnight
Open until 12:00 AM on weekdays and 12:30 AM Friday to Sunday.
